This recipe is one we made at a nutrition program I am involved in. I really liked it and wanted to share. Raw=no cooking. Couldn't get much simpler. Well, I guess PJ wins in that category.
4 large carrots
2 stalks celery
1/8 red onion
1/4 c parsley
1 apple
2 dates
2 c water
1/3 c sunflower seeds (soaked overnight)
2 t lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
1/2 t sea salt
1/2 t cumin
Blend it all together in a high power blender or a food processor and serve. I haven't had it long enough to play around with the recipe but I am sure you could.

Recipe looks great. Are you are raw foodist?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the course you are taking? I will post another raw recipe for you to try.

FYI It's me COlleen. Casey is my middle name so I have always used it on blogs for some reason. I am however getting won over by raw food recently. I normally would't think much about it in the winter but I have been kind of craving it. So I would love any recipes you could recommend. I did also discover that the creamy carrot soup is lumpy carrot soup in the food processor. So I would try the blender.
